One of the first events last spring to be canceled due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic has announced to put off its 2021 event.
Oakdale Eggstravaganza organizers said on Monday that the annual event had to be canceled.
“We were all hoping we would be able to have the event this year,” they said, “but the even would fall too early. The main people that are relied upon to get everything accomplished are not comfortable going forward making plans that possibly have to be canceled. So the plan is a go for next year.”
The 27th annual event brings hundreds of visitors to the small Washington County village every year. Some of the activities include the Easter Egg factory tour, bounce house, live entertainment, vendor and craft fair and a massive egg hunt in a pasture.
