School has been canceled for Nashville District 99 and 49 for Tuesday, Feb. 9.
District 49 Superintendent Mike Brink said in a phone cal to parents that the reasons for the cancellations included increasing inclement weather and the impact on road conditions. Remote learning and evening activities have also been canceled.
NCHS posted on Facebook about the closing. Trinity St. John and St. Ann School of Nashville have also called school for Tuesday.
Sleet started coming down early Monday afternoon, as colder temperatures settled in for the remainder of the week.
Other areas that have canceled include Pinckneyville, Okawville and Tamaroa.
