Nashville Community High School announced on Facebook Monday the return of a five-day schedule for the first time in nearly a year.
“On March 2, students will be expected to return to school daily,” the post said. “We will keep our bell schedule the way it is for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.”
Classrooms will be cleaned in between every hour and students will be required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing. Students will also be allowed to carry multiple class materials in their backpacks “in order to reduce congestion at lockers during passing periods.”
At the beginning of the school year, the NCHS Board voted to implement an in-person, hybrid schedule. Student schedules were based upon their last names, and Wednesday was marked as a full remote day. The school went full-remote for one week in January.
Washington County continued a downward trend in the number of positive COVID-19 cases.
