The Washington County Courthouse and county offices will open to the public beginning March 1.
According to a press release, the step is “going back to a more normal setting. The county offices include those located in the Washington County Courthouse and the Judicial Center.
Those visiting will be required to pass screenings before allowed into the buildings. They will also have to wear masks when in the buildings.
Visitors are welcome to contact the office for any special requirements, such as entry into the county clerk’s vault for research.
Just about a year ago, Washington County Board Chairman Dave Meyer signed the first ever disaster declaration for the county amid growing health concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic. In the months that followed, stricter restrictions were enforced and employees were furloughed or asked to work from home, along with other safety protocols.
