Nashville alum named to GLVC first team

McKendree sophomore Bryce Bultman was named to the first the Great Lake Valley Conference team.

Bultman was one of two players from the Bearcats basketball team to receive All-Conference titles. He was a standout with the Hornets, averaging 14.6 points and nine rebounds his senior year. He helped lead Nashville to its state runner-up finish at the Illinois High School Association’s 2A State Tournament.

While playing for McKendree, Bultman continued to play stellar ball. He led the Bearcats this season in scoring with 15.9 points a game, a .544 field goal percentage and 70 assists on the season.  On Feb. 20, Bultman had a career high 45 points on 18-of-27 shooting from the field against Lindenwood. He is the second player in program history to earn First-Team All-GLVC honors. In 2019-20, he was named Freshman of the Year and to the All-Freshman team.

The Bearcats’ 2020-21 season came to a close Wednesday night during the first round of the conference tournament after a 62-59 loss to Lewis.
