This month marks the one-year anniversary of when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the southern Illinois area. One year since staying six feet apart, figuring out remote learning and practicing social distancing became part of our everyday speak.
It’s been a long and tough year in many respects, and it has definitely been one for the record books. The Standard is planning a series of stories over the next several weeks about the important benchmark. Some of those stories: how far have come since then, what were some of the notable news events and what could we watch out for in the future.
We would love to hear from you, our readers. Help us tell your story. Drop us an email at news@standard.press or thestandard618@gmail.com.
