The Washington County Health Department reported one new COVID-19 case during its mid-week report on Wednesday.
The new case was a woman in her 40s.
The total number of cases for Washington County now sits at 1,627 since March 2020, with four active, zero hospitalized, 1,605 released from isolation and 29 deaths.
According to the Illinois Department of Public Health, 25 percent of all Washington County residents have been vaccinated. There were six new cases reported from March 21 to 27 with a test positivity rate of 1.5 percent.
The WCHD also said it has Moderna vaccination appointments available this Saturday for county residents over 18 years old. Those interested in receiving the vaccine can call 618-327-3644 to schedule a time.
