A couple of Nashville standouts will be hitting the hardwood to play in the return of the Lions Club Classic next month.
Buzz Ritzel and Jaxson Goforth will suit up for the event, which will be held at Rend Lake College’s Waugh Gym on Friday, June 4. High school players from throughout the region will take part. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the girls game to start at 6 p.m. and the boys will begin at 8 p.m.
There will also be a dunking contest, three-point shootout and MVP awards ceremony.
Washington County will also be represented by several Okawville players. Lady Rockets Chloe Kraus and Savannah Hackstadt will play in the girls game, while Rockets Jackson Harre, Lucas Frederking, Mason Meyer and Caleb Unverfehrt will play for the boys’ game.
