A couple of Hornettes have been listed on the All-State team.
The Illinois Softball Coaches Association announced the 2021 team where senior pitcher Josie Woodrome and sophomore infielder Colleen Jahnke were placed on the third team.
According to MaxPreps, Woodrome hit .462 on average with 85 plate appearances. She led the team in total hits with 36 hits. She hit 12 doubles and 8 home runs this year and had a total of 37 RBIs. On the mound, Woodrome went 10-2 with an ERA 2.47.
Jahnke his .438 this year with 80 plate appearances. She had 32 total hits along with 12 doubles and five home runs.
The Hornettes finished the season 24-5.
