Heseman has been working for the county for more than 40 years
County Clerk Nancy Heseman announced at the Washington County Board on Tuesday evening that she would not be seeking another term. Heseman started on Sept. 1, 1977, working under then Clerk Virgil May.
“When I started we had no computers, wrote the tax books by hand and used quill ink pins,” Heseman said. “A lot has changed since then. Tom Ganz was the next clerk and when he retired at the end of his term I ran. I took office as the County Clerk on December 1, 2014. I was always well supported by the voters of Washington County and Thank them for their support.”
