Regionals start next week for area middle schools

Nashville will host the first round of the SIJHSAA regionals for both its baseball and softball teams.

The Nashville Junior Hornets are the top ranked team in the Region 6 competition. The boys will play the winner of the Lebanon (4) and Okawville (5) game on Thursday, Sept. 23, at 4:15 p.m.

The Nashville Junior Hornettes are looking to repeat as regional champions. They are the second ranked team and will play against Pinckneyville 204 on Thursday, Sept. 23 at 4:15 p.m. Last year, the girls went on to win third place in the Class M tournament.
