It’s almost the beginning of October and people are already getting in the Halloween mood! An interesting selection of spooky Halloween events for all ages is coming up at the Nashville Public Library.
The Nashville Public Library would like to help families in our community decorate their home for the holiday by offering Take & Make Craft Kits for adults, teens, and children.
Craft kits for adults and teens will become available on October 4th and October 18th and may be picked up throughout the week or until supplies run out. Limit one kit per person. Craft kids for kids will be offered every Tuesday in October, beginning on October 5th. All craft kits are free and a library card is not required to participate.
All of these kits are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved. Kits can be picked up from the circulation desk or through curbside pickup by calling the library at 618-327-3827.
Along with decorations, the Nashville Public Library would like to offer kids the opportunity to participate in a Halloween scavenger hunt. Library staff have hidden 16 pumpkins around the library. Find them all to earn a small prize!
And finally, nothing screams Halloween other than trick-or-treating. Trick-or-treat hours for Nashville will be on Sunday, October 31st from 5pm–8pm. Instead of candy, the Nashville Public Library will be handing out books, while supplies last. Come say hello and show off your costume!
