Police have arrested a third man in the strangulation death of an elderly Clay County man.
Jamie Charlton, 39, of Salem was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and a Class 1 felony count of residential burglary. Bond on the warrant had been set at $750,000. No court date has been announced.

Roger Courson, 80, was found dead in his rural home in Edgewood by a family member on Sept. 27. Autopsy results earlier this week stated that the cause of death was strangulation.
Christopher Galltin, 27, of Centralia and Walter West, 30, of Edgewood were both arrested and charged in court on Monday with similar charges. Both are being held in lieu of a $2.5 million bond.
According to WJBD, Clay County State’s Attorney Andrew Koester announced that he did not believe any weapons were used in the murder but approximately 20 firearms, a safe and a television set were stolen from the home.
