The Hornettes’ season ended Wednesday night after a hard-fought battle against SIRR Mississippi conference rival, losing 25-21, 23-25, 23-25.
In a game with multiple ties and lead changes, the Hornettes came close to sealing the deal in the second match but they could stave off a Lions rally. Carterville clawed their way back from a 16-6 deficit to force a game three.
Nashville finishes 32-6 this season. The season’s accolades include SIRR Conference Preview Champions, Benton Rangerette Tournament Champions, Triad Tournament Champions and Red Bud Regional Champions.
