For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began, the Kaskaskia College Theatre Guild will host a fall production open to the public in the Jane Knight Auditorium on the college’s main campus. Kaskaskia College students will take the stage to perform “Check Please and Check Please: Take 2” for three performances November 19-21 .
“Check Please and Check Please: Take 2” by Jonathan Rand are one act plays that show the struggles of dating, including when your date turns out to be a raging kleptomaniac, your grandmother’s bridge partner, a foot-reading psychic, an extreme accountant, a mime, and even a pirate! The plays will be directed by KC Theater Professor David Quinn.
“In November of 2019, the KC Theatre Guild last performed in front of a live audience with The Revenge of the Space Pandas, or Binky Rudich and the Two-Speed Clock,” said Quinn. “After performing on videos for the last few semesters, we are anxious to get back in front of a live audience!”
The performances are Friday and Saturday, November 19 and 20, at 7:00 p.m. The third
performance will be held on Sunday, November 21 at 2:00 p.m. All performances are free and open to the public.
The cast and crew of KC students include: Dusk Donoho, Aden Hill, Michelle Barlow, Maximus Dsouza, Alexandria Twitchell, Bryce Stanley, Alyssa Lurkins, Zeke Muhammad, Emma Peper, Addy Gambill, Aidan Glasgow, Erin Wrzesinski, Kristin Bailey, and Jenny Barnes.
