Giving Tuesday: Here is a local list of nonprofits to donate this holiday season

Giving Tuesday marks the beginning of the philanthropical part of the holiday season.

Several local nonprofits and other organizations are holding end-of-the-year fundraisers. Know of one we missed? The Standard will update this post with other submissions as we get them. Email your cause to thestandard618@gmail.com to be added to this list.

Trinity-St. John School set a fundraiser goal for $1,000 on Giving Tuesday. Help them reach this milestone by donating here.

St. Ann School in Nashville is selling Fresh Florida Fruit baskets through Dec. 1.

Nashville District 49 is hosting an online store fundraiser. To participate, visit www.schoolstore.com and type in Nashville Grade School before you start shopping.

Washington County Animal Control is always open for donations. To see their current Amazon wish list, click here.

Caritas Family Solutions, the largest foster care program in Southern Illinois, has a new office in Sparta that is managing over 100 youth in the community. They are currently looking for secret Santas. You can purchase gifts for one or multiple children. You can contact the office for a wish list or to drop off gifts. The Moose 2560 hosts weekly BINGO games on Monday at the Community Center of Nashville, where a portion of proceeds go to local charities. November’s went to the local Shop With a Cop program.
