The Washington County Health Department reported Monday that 41 new COVID cases from Dec. 7 to 13.
The cases include two who are between 1 and 5 years old; five who are 6-10 years old; one who is 11 to 15 years old; one who is 16-19 years old’; five in their 20s; six in their 30s; two in their 40s; seven in their 50s; three in their 60s; and nine in their 70s.
The increase is a considerable rise from what had been reported last Monday, when there were 28 new cases reported.
The Illinois Department of Public Health continues to consider the entire state an area of high transmission. Washington County’s positivity rate is 11.98 percent.
