Anyone interested in adopting a cat or kitten for Christmas can get a furry friend at a discounted price at Washington County Animal Control, thanks to the generosity of a anonymous donor.
An unknown woman has agreed to pay the $15 microchip fee for all cat adoptions between now and Christmas, the shelter said Friday.
“Isn’t this wonderful?” the shelter said in the post. “We are truly blessed with a generous and loving community!”
Earlier this month, another donor agreed to pay the adoption fees for all dogs through a short time. Several inquiries were submitted, and within a few days, every dog was placed with a new home.
Adopters would still be in charge of spaying or neutering their new cats.
