The Nashville Country Mart said Friday morning that plans are in place to keep the grocery store open through the first few months of 2022.
A post on the store’s Facebook page stated that the corporate office has given the opportunity to increase gross profits through March. The post alluded that a decision to stay open will be made after that time.
“All of us at Country Mart would like to thank the Mayor and the community of Nashville for all your support and prayers the last couple of weeks,” the store said. “We have been given an extension to the end of March to get the gross profit up. We hope you will continue to show us your support.”
Earlier reports stated that the Nashville Country Mart, which opened in 2018, was slated for closure at the end of December.
