Mt. Vernon woman charged with 2021 burglary of Nashville liquor store

A 22-year-old Mt. Vernon woman has been charged in connection with the March 2021 burglary of Roll N Up Liquor in Nashville.

Michelle Sharp has been charged with a Class 2 felony burglary; a Class 4 count of conspiracy against civil rights; and a Class A misdemeanor count of retail theft valued at less than $300.

According to WMIX, Sharp and four juveniles allegedly entered the liquor store during business hours on March 28, 2021, and grabbed approximately $853 worth of merchandise without paying. The items taken were mainly liquor and beer.

The clerk at Roll N Up was able to identify the license plate of the vehicle that the suspects fled in and notified Nashville police. The car was later stopped in Mt. Vernon and the occupants attempted to flee on foot before they were arrested.

Police said three male teens were from Mt. Vernon and a fourth teen was from Fort Worth, TX.

Sharp has a first appearance in Washington County Court on Feb. 8.
