A couple of local teams are headed back to the SIJHSAA state tournament this February after winning their respective regional games Saturday.
The Nashville Jr. Hornets remained perfect after winning their regional and beating Carlyle 57-18. The boys will face off against Sparta on Friday, Feb. 4, at Okawville High School in the Class M tournament.
In Class S regional action, the Trinity St. John/Immanuel St. Lutheran Titans were also victorious on Saturday, besting Pinckneyville 204 57-51 for their title. The boys will play Hardin Co. on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 5 p.m. at Pinckneyville High School.
