The Centralia Police Department have added on a couple of new officers.
According to WJBD, the hires include Roxzen Styninger, who had previously worked as a deputy for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. The second new officer is Mickey Jader, who has seven years of experience working with the Hamel, Troy and Swansea Police Department.
The officers were sworn in on Thursday afternoon. Centralia Police Lieutenant Steve Whritenour told the radio station that the officers will begin abbreviated field training for eight weeks beginning Monday and then work on their own after April 17. Centralia PD also have four new officers currently attending the police academy in Belleville and are expected to complete training by July 18.
