Welcome to Friday! Here are some of the good news stories we are following this week.
Nashville Middle School announced that the Class of 2022 eighth grade graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, May 20, at 7 p.m. The commencement will be held in the Primary School Gym.

Congrats to area players for being named to the Associated Press Girls All-State Basketball teams. Okawvlle sophomore Alayna Kraus received 1A first team honors while teammate and junior Briley Rhodes was named an honorable mention. Nashville senior forward Alyssa Cole was selected as a 2A team honorable mention.
Players are voted on by a statewide panel of broadcasters and sportswriters, and they received five points for first team votes and three points for second team votes. A player had to be named on at least two ballots to receive honorable mention
The 28th annual PolishFestl will be held on Sunday, March 6, in DuBois. Events include a Polka Mass at St. Charles Catholic Church with live music by Polka Connection and a free polka dance at the church at 3 p.m.
the annual parade through downtown at 1 p.m. Those interested in participating in the parade can register in the K of C parking lot beginning at 10 a.m. Chicken poop bingo will be held at the Mule Barn. Polish food will begin being served at 10 a.m.
The preschool class at St. Ann’s School of Nashville enjoyed some green eggs and ham.
The Trinity St. John boys and girls basketball teams both won their first round of the LSA state tournament and will advance to the next round, which will be played this weekend.
