Nashville Community High School and Nashville District 49 have called off all classes for Thursday, March 10, and Friday, March 11, to accommodate any student, staff and family members planning to travel to the IHSA State Tournament.
The Nashville Hornets are in the Final Four after knocking off Teutopolis Monday night at the Carbondale Super Sectional, held in the Banterra Center. Nashville will play DePaul College Prep (26-5) on Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. at the State Farm Center in Champaign. The Lions beat Chicago Leo 50-43 in overtime to win the Joliet Super Sectional.
The Hornets are making their second state appearance in four years and the third since 2013.
