Feel Good Friday: March 11

Hello and happy Friday! Here are some of the stories we’ve seen this week!

Congratulations to the Nashville Hornets for a stellar performance this postseason. Good luck tomorrow in the Class 2A state championship. A parade will be held through town once the boys return to Washington County. We will pass along the time when we hear when it is.


Nashville FFA delegates will participate in the State Proficiency competition in Decatur on March 26. District winners included: Kris May (Ag Communications); Esdon Bartling (Ag Mechanics Repair & Maintenance); Gracen Hoffman (Dairy Production ENT); Chandler White (Diversified Crop Production PL); Hanna Niedbalski (Diversified Livestock Production); Eric Wisely (Equine Science ENT); Brandon Wisely (Forage Production); Garrett Williamson (Poultry Production); Calista Herrmann (Special Crop Production); and Anna Marie Zoeckler (Wildlife Production & Management).

Calista Herrmann also now moves on to the state competition for Illinois FFA Star Farmer!!

Trinity St. John recognized its eighth grade volleyball players on Friday. Here are the girls standing next to their parents.


Several local basketball players will hit the hardwood at Rend Lake College this weekend for the Southern Illinois Junior High All-Star Classic. Check themes and teams at the link.

Washington County All-Stars include: Trinity St. John (Nashville)-Immanuel Lutheran (Okawville) Co-op players Samantha Brinkmann and Summer Brinkmann; Sam Blumhors, Bennet Pinski, Lucas Dunn, Evan Kroeger; Nashville Middle School: Makayla Gajewski, Kenlee Schoenberg, Emma Behrmann, Belle Schmale, Anessa Boldrey, Brynn Stiegman, Aubrey Rhine, Maddox Ritzel, Tyse Reinberg; Okawville: Jilien Harre, Kaylie Behrman, Brynn Rhodes, Kenley Hackstadt, Caroline Tepe.
