The Nashville Middle School Hornettes volleyball team has had an exciting 2022 season!
The A team has a regular season record of 16-1. Their only loss of the season has been in the Fairfield Invitational Tournament against a solid Carmi Jr. High Team. The girls fought back and walked away with winning the Silver Bracket Championship in that tournament.
On Monday March 14th, the Hornettes celebrated 8th grade night and a win against the local TSJ/ILS team. The team has ten 8th graders this season: Hanley Presswood, Jayden Dees, Bailey McBride, Emma Behrmann, Belle Schmalz, Austynn Gale, Anessa Boldrey, Payton Basden, Aubrey Rhine and Brynn Stiegman.
The Hornettes came into their post season play Thursday night where they won against Pinckneyville and then Sparta to capture the Regional Championship. This brings their season to 18-1. It has been the first regional volleyball championship in 11 years for the NMS Girls.

Volleyball Team. The Jr. High Hornettes will play their first round of State at the Nashville High School, March 26th. Game time is noon where they will take on a tough Breese Middle School team.
The B team also came together and had a solid season. They ended their season against Sparta on March 15th with a 8-4 record and greatly improved with each game.
The C team girls kept improving with each conference game as well this season and are fun group to watch.
The Jr. Hornettes are coached by Adria Schneider and Ben Crawford.
