
Teresa Boyles
Teresa Faye Boyles, 57 of Nashville, passed away at 11:09 a.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.
She was born on November 30, 1963 in Salem, the daughter of Charles and Donna Faye Pickle Halterman.
She was preceded in death by her father and a daughter Rachael.
Left to mourn her passing is her mother Donna Halterman of Farina. 2 sons; Dylan (Melissa) Halterman of Pinckneyville and Lucas (Kelly) Siegrist of Salem. A daughter Andrea Halterman of Alma, a brother Randy Halterman of Effingham, 7 grandchildren and her life partner Lloyd Holder of Nashville.
Teresa was employed at Innertech Industries in Nashville for 15 years and attended TrinityLutheran Church in Nashville.
All services will be private. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of
arrangements.

Nancy A. Bronke
Ms. Nancy A. Bronke of Buffalo Grove, IL, departed this life at her residence on Thursday, September 30, 2021. She had attained the age of 59 years, 7 months and 15 days.
Nancy was born on February 15, 1962 in Pinckneyville, IL, the daughter of Theodore and Marcella (nee Lamczyk) Bronke. Nancy worked as a salesclerk in the home furnishing industry. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed collecting and repurposing antiques.
Left to mourn her passing is her father Theodore Bronke of Tamaroa, IL; six brothers and sisters, Donna Mattis of Buffalo Grove, IL, Rosemary Gogolek and her husband Ralph of DuBois, IL, David Bronke and wife Bernadette of DuBois, IL, Robert Bronke and wife Linda of Tamaroa, IL, Marlene Loucks of Tamaroa, IL and Charles Bronke of Tamaroa, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
A prayer service will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 10 AM with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Cemetery in Todds Mill, IL.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Tuesday from 9 AM until the service hour.

Joann Cathcart
Joann (Cox) Cathcart of Alachua, Floriday, formerly of Nashville, passed away on
September 4, 2021 at Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville, FL. She had attained the
age of 60 years.
She was born on April 4, 1961 in Belleville, the daughter of James E. and Alethea J. Laurent Cox.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert M. Cathcart, brother David E. Cox and her grandparents.
Left to mourn her passing is her son Clinton J. (Terri) Cathcart. 2 grandchildren; Braxton and Kaleigh of Dennison, TX. A sister Trussia Cox of White City, FL and her special friend of 27 years, John Brown of Alachua, FL. She will also be sadly missed by her aunts; Ruth (Fred) Johnson of Ashley, Carol Laurent of Nashville and Bonnie (Bob) Prange of Nashville. Her cousins; Mike (Angel) Reid of Ashley, Terry (Mike) Metcalf of Nashville, Donna Kosydor of Nashvillle and Bret (Kelly) Prange of Aviston. Nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.
Joann was a 1979 graduate of Nashville Community High School. She lived in the
Gainesville/Alachua area for approximately 30 years. She worked as the Utilities
Materials Specialist Senior at Gainesville Regional Utilities for 17 years. Prior to that,
Joann worked as a Cosmetologist at Utopia Chalet Day Spa in Gainesville. She loved
animals, planting flowers, warm weather, the beach and spending time with family and friends. She was a faithful Florida Gators fan and passed that passion on to her family and friends.
There will be a memorial gathering of family and friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or Washington County Animal Shelter.

Theodore William “Ted” Stern
Mr. Theodore William “Ted” Stern of Pinckneyville, IL, departed this life surrounded by his family at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 2:05 PM. He had attained the age of 66 years, 4 months and 25 days.
Ted was born on May 1, 1955 in Pinckneyville, IL, the son of Theodore T. and Virginia (nee Hildenbrand) Stern. He was united in marriage to Sallie R. Cox on January 26, 1991 and she survives his passing.
Ted was a lifelong farmer and a dedicated member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todds Mill where he was an active member of the Parish Council. He attended the Into My Vineyard at Belleville Diocese for two years and became a Eucharistic Minister and he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus #2921. Ted was an avid bowler and he enjoyed fishing and quail and turkey hunting. He
loved to play his guitar, banjo and sing in the Jay Jay Polka Lovers Band, The Danny Krausz Band, Heritage Band with Bob Berkemeier, The Wally Annis All Star Band and with his music mentor Joe Gill.
Left to mourn his passing is his loving wife Sallie Stern of Pinckneyville, IL; when Ted married Sallie he became dad to five children, Shane (Judy) Malawy, Shannon (Travis Turner) Brooks, Shene’ Malawy, Suzie Malawy and Denee’ (Randy) Weissenborn; Ted was a proud grandpa of seven wonderful grandchildren that he loved and was so proud of, Darcie (Jamie) Stocks, Desiree (Josh) Kuberski, Deanne (Colin) Hagene, Brett (Karen) Brooks, Gabby (fiancé Corey Craig) Brooks, Jacie Eryn “Pumpkin Butt” Alfeldt and Frank Theodore Weissenborn; two great grandchildren, James Donald Stocks and baby Kuberski due November 16; two sisters, Phyllis (Robert) Meier and Joyce Dierkes; sister-in-law, Marcia Hagene; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Deloris Cox and Darrell and Roxanne Cox; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law, John Dierkes and Larry Hagene.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todds Mill, IL on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 10 AM with Fr. Augustine Ibezimako officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todds Mill, IL on Friday from 5 PM until 8 PM and on Saturday from 8 AM until the service hour.

Bob J. Briles
Bob J. Briles of Nashville, IL, departed this life at 7 A.M. on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at his home among his family. He had reached the age of 88 years, 10 months, and 15 days.
Bob was born November 4, 1932, in Kansas City, MO to William O. and Bulah A. (Shehorn) Briles. He grew up in the Alton, MO, area and attended country schools his first three years. In the fourth grade his family moved to Madison, IL, where he attended grade and high schools. He graduated from Madison High School in 1950 and worked for the Terminal Railroad for 2 years. He joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Kirknewton Air Force Base in Edinburg, Scotland for 3 years in security work.
In 1956 he used the G.I. Bill to attend college, the first in his family ever to go to college and graduated from Eastern IL University in 1960 with a bachelor’s degree in social studies. He received his Master’s Degree in 1968 from SIU Carbondale. He married Kathleen (Katy) Ferree on August 7, 1960 at Mattoon and both worked as teachers. Bob spent his entire education career at Nashville Community High School from 1960 to 1990, the first decade as social studies teacher and part-time principal and the last 2 decades as principal. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Nashville. He loved his family and was a lifelong fisherman and sports enthusiast, both as a participant and observer. He and Katy loved traveling and visited all 50 states, enjoyed numerous cruises, and toured many European countries and Canadian provinces. After retirement he enjoyed golfing, reading, and watching sports of all kinds, especially European soccer. He played slow pitch into his 40’s with the Nashville Savings and Loan team, the Black Knights, under the sponsorship of Don Meinert. He loved a good joke and storytelling, and he regularly visited the coffee group at Hardee’s for many years.
He leaves to mourn Katy, his wife of 61 years, his sons Randy and wife Andrea, Kent and wife Karen, and daughter Shelly, four grandsons and three step-grandchildren, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Boyd, and his nephew.
Per the wishes of Bob and his family, cremation will be performed and there will be a private family service and burial at the Old St. Ann Cemetery in Nashville, IL. Campagna Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice or towards trees that will be planted in his memory and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
